Office Design Inspired by Chaos Theory and Holistic Philosophy

Taking inspiration from chaos theory and a holistic design philosophy, Studio NL, led by designer Athanasia Leivaditou, has created a one-of-a-kind office design that pushes the boundaries of creativity and functionality. The project, aptly named "Controlled Chaos," transforms a grey box into a sculptural white net, utilizing the structural and formal possibilities of plasterboard.

The standout feature of this design is the intricate white lines that form the net. These lines serve multiple functions within the interior space, including a library, lighting, CD storage, shelving, and desks. By seamlessly integrating these different elements, Studio NL has created a space that is both visually stunning and highly functional.

The use of plasterboard, wood, plexiglass, concrete floor covering, and inox details brings this design to life. The combination of these materials adds depth and texture to the space, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.

The design project took place from March 2010 to June 2010, during which Studio NL faced various challenges. The main challenge was to ensure that the white net served as many purposes as possible, including spatial organization, lighting, and meeting the functional needs of the office space. Through careful planning and innovative design solutions, Studio NL successfully overcame these challenges.

Studio NL's "Controlled Chaos" design has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2011 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The design is respected for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
